Community Code of Conduct

COMMUNITY CODE OF CONDUCT

Universal Power Yoga is committed to creating a safe, respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students, staff, teachers, and guests. By participating in classes, events, workshops, or other studio activities, you agree to the following expectations:

Respect for Others

  • Treat all members of our community with kindness, courtesy, and respect.
  • Honor personal boundaries and the diverse backgrounds, beliefs, identities, and experiences of others.
  • Refrain from disruptive behavior including but not limited to excessive movement, talking or other noises during class.
  • Abstain from intimidating, harassing, or discriminatory behavior of any kind.

Personal Boundaries and Consent

  • Respect the physical and emotional boundaries of others at all times.
  • Do not engage in unwanted physical contact, comments, or behavior that makes another person uncomfortable.
  • Any physical adjustments during class will only be provided according to studio policies and participant consent.

Harassment-Free Environment

The studios maintain a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, including but not limited to:

  • Sexual harassment
  • Unwanted sexual advances
  • Flirtatious behavior that is unwelcome or persistent
  • Inappropriate comments about a person’s appearance, body, relationships, or private life
  • Unwanted messages, gifts, or attempts to pursue personal or romantic relationships after a boundary has been expressed
  • Bullying, stalking, intimidation, or threatening behavior

All interactions should remain respectful and appropriate for a professional wellness environment.

Safety and Well-Being

  • Follow instructor guidance and practice within your abilities.
  • Notify instructors of injuries, medical concerns, or limitations when appropriate.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and peaceful studio environment.

Respect for Studio Property

  • Treat studio equipment, facilities, and belongings with care.
  • Clean and return props after use.
  • Follow all studio policies regarding attendance, cancellations, and facility use.

Reporting Concerns

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please notify studio management.

Enforcement

Studio management reserves the right to address violations of this Code of Conduct at its discretion. Consequences may include a verbal warning, removal from a class or event, suspension of privileges, or permanent termination of membership without refund.

Our goal is to ensure that every person who enters our studios feels safe, respected, and welcome.
