How do I sign up for a class?
There are 3 ways to sign up for a class: 1. On the website under the 'Classes' tab, 2. The Universal Power Yoga app, or 3. The Mindbody app, search for Universal Power Yoga and add us as your "favorite" studio for quick access to the schedule.
Can I rent a yoga mat?
Yes, you can rent a yoga mat for $5 or bring your own mat.
What do I wear to class?
Wear comfortable, breathable clothing that you can easily move in. You do not need to have any special clothing. Come as you are.
What do I bring with me to class?
Bring a yoga mat, water and a towel (if you sweat a lot!). We also rent mats and sell waters and towels. If you need anything, let the teacher know when you arrive. :)
How early do I need to arrive for class?
We recommend arriving 15 minutes early to class so that you have time to check in on the iPad and connect with the teacher before class. Set up your mat, get blocks and relax for a few minutes before class starts.
Can I bring my kids to class? What is the age policy?
- 13 Years old for Beginners / Unheated / Warm Classes
- 16 Years Old for Hot Power Classes
- Ages 13-15 must have a parent / guardian participating in class with them.
- Under 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent / guardian in person at the studio prior to the first class.
How do I use a guest pass?
Our 4x per month, 8x per month, monthly unlimited and yearly unlimited members all get to bring 1 guest per month. If your guest is brand new to UPY, ask them to create an account on the website. Then email staff@universalpoweryoga.com (ideally 24 hours before the class) and let us know your guest's name, email and which class they will attend with you. We will reply back and confirm when they have a spot in the class.
How do I redeem my Groupon?
Groupons are for new clients only. We prefer that you purchase the New Client Deal 4 for $40 through the studio so that we can extend the expiration date if needed. If you purchased a Groupon, you can set up an account on the website. Then email staff@universalpoweryoga.com with the 8-digit barcode number. We will add the groupon to your account so that you can sign up for classes! Note-if you purchase a Groupon but you are not brand new, we will give you a credit toward a regular pass.
How do I purchase a Gift Card?
On the website or in the studios. The studios are only open before and after a class, so it is may be easier to purchase the gift card online. You will be able to email the gift card to the recipient or you can email it to yourself, print it and put it in a card!
How do I update my card on file?
Login to your account through the UPY website (not the apps) and go to 'account' - 'billing' to update the saved card.
My pass expired. Is there any chance you can extend it?
Depending on your situation, we will consider extending a pass that recently expired. You can email staff@universalpoweryoga.com and ask for us to extend it. Keep in mind that the 4x and 8x per month members get to roll unused classes forward so this might be the best option for you. As long as the membership is active, the classes never expire so you get more flexibility if you are a member.
I left something in the studio, how can I get it?
We are in the studio before and after our scheduled classes. Stop in during any of those times and check the lost & found!
